Capply is an early stage startup in the logistics space addressing the inefficient road freight market in Europe using technology. Road freight is a €342 billion market in Europe alone and this is a great opportunity to come onboard as one of the first employees, to build a product that will change the way the industry operates.

Capply is still a young company, but we’re building for long-term sustainability. We want to make sure that the people building Capply with us are fairly compensated, both through competitive salaries as well as stock options.

We are a small and dynamic team with deep industry expertise, a working product which is already generating revenue, a network of beta customers and funding secured. We’re looking for someone who can add their individual expertise and help us build a great development team.

You’re looking for a challenge, but also for a friendly group that supports each other and where we help each other to learn and grow. We believe in building high quality software using cutting edge tools and solid best practices.

What is the role?

We’ve built up our application by focusing on the user interaction and interface. However our customers use a wide range of different systems that we need to integrate with. We see this as a key part of our strategy and we want it to be a competitive advantage. In this role you will be working closely with our CTO and responsible for leading the effort of building up a platform and ecosystem that makes it easy to plug our application into the systems our customers are using.

Our application is a Remix application, Remix is a React framework and our application is written in TypeScript and runs in Node.js. We’re using PostgreSQL as our database. For systems integration, we’re looking at using some type of message bus, such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. We’re open to using a different language or stack if doing so is advantageous.

Experience

Ideally you have at least five years of professional experience working with backend systems. You’ve worked with systems integration and have seen different architecture choices and their effects. Experience in the logistics space is a big plus.
